Taking a few minutes to stretch and warm-up before any training is vital. Our tendons, ligaments and more need the heat and lubrication that a good stretch and a few warm-up exercises can bring.  Don’t forego this important aspect of any training.  It will do your body good and help your heart.  Here’s a great video on how to stretch that stretch, warm-up and maintain proper flexibility:
